The Jelgava Student Theater Support Association MINIATRA was founded in 2011, the goals set in its statutes are to develop and promote the activity of the Jelgava Student Theater and popularize it in Latvia, support the acquisition of additional education, lifelong learning, diversify cultural events and attract investments for the expansion of local cultural life and international relations.
The association has repeatedly demonstrated its ability to develop and manage projects that support the operation of the Jelgava Student Theater. The majority of projects are implemented directly in the cultural sphere:
2012:
APPLIED FOR ZEMGALE'S CULTURE PROGRAM 2012 PROJECT
Project name: "The call of the eternal student - shaping the image of the youth of Zemgale" Mūžīgā studenta aicinājums – Zemgales jaunatnes tēla veidošana
The goal of the project is to activate the desire of the region's youth to learn and be patriots of their country, to be a part of culture both in historical traditions and creativity.
The project took place in Jelgava and other larger cities of Zemgale - Aizkraukle, Tukums and Jēkabpils.

2013:
"The art space is our breath. Or the compass at the crossroads" Mākslas telpa – mūsu elpa. Jeb kompass krustcelēs
The purpose of the project - addto stimulate and strengthen the understanding of the traditional culture of Zemgale - making it possible to recognize and make available to a wider part of the Jelgava society the historical experience and creative activity of the Jelgava Student Theater.
LLU Student Theater is one of the oldest Student Theaters in Latvia (1946) with international experience since the 90s.

The cooperation partner of the project is Jēkabpils Russian Society "Rodnik". The aim of the project is to implement measures promoting intercultural dialogue in the Zemgale region, creating mutual understanding and reducing stereotypes through getting to know the Russian mentality and cultural heritage and creation of a production of the play by the Russian classic Anton Chekhov in the Jelgava Student Theater.
2015:

In 2015, we have established a new tradition - thus borned "Two evenings in May"

Festival of Latvian universities' theatres at 750th anniversary of the city of Jelgava.
Thanks to the support of the State Culture Capital Fund, Jelgava City Council and LLU, association MINIATRA implemented the Jelgava Student Theater membership at the international student theatre festival in Georgia, called "THE MASK" (Tbilisi 02 - 10.12.2015), where we also won 3 awards:
"For the best acting performance", "For the best performance of a female role in a dramatic genre", "For the best performance of a male role in a dramatic genre".
2016:
MINIATRA implements the participation of the Jelgava Student Theater at
NEATAS SHORT PLAY amateur theater festival in the FAEROES, performing "Helmut & Helly"
2017:
International Student Theater Festival "2x2 May evenings" In Jelgava Member States - Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Georgia
2018:
Cooperation project with Tartu University student theater: engaged guest director Kalev Kudu and created an unique genre production "KYOGEN STORIES" in Jelgava
